Background

In the 18th century, the South China Sea bustled with activity as maritime trade  flourished between Europe and the Far East. Merchants ships carried luxury goods such as tea, silk and porcelain from Asia to the West. In return, the Asian goods were exchanged for silver, medicine and all manner of Western contraptions such as clocks, watches and cartography instruments.

Alas, such endeavors were not without considerable risk. Following the shipwrecking of their mother vessel, your crew must start anew in the distant lands of the Orient. Undeterred and no less determined, your crew has mustered what little gold they could to purchase a small ship in one last attempt to recoup their losses. After all, fortune favors the bold in the age of merchant empires.

The wording isn't lining up with the buy/sell menu.

I love this game! Would love a quick restart and pause feature!

had so much fun felt like a merchant

Relaxing game. Reminds me of Sid Meir's Pirates!

Great game. Really enjoyed it. The ships base velocity is way too low. It makes the game harder and tedious. Otherwise great game.

Nice game!

I remember loving a Poptropica island like this as a kid

Wish we could claim & download this. I never play games I've added to my collection because I always forget that they're there.

dam I like this game

can you add a new feature

Cute little game, make you feel very clever once you internalize the estimated values of the various goods. Easy to make a killing within the scope of time you have, if your memory serves you well :)

Hey could you please update this game and improve it. I love this and there no other game like this in itch.io. I like the graphics and everything about it. Some ideas from me is. Making the map bigger, Making the map bigger I think is gonna be better as you have to travel far to reach different points of the map. Making the cities grow every 25 Days. This will add more favour to the game. could you also add rivers so you can travel up stream to cities not on the coast. My final idea is Going up and down animations.

If you don't want to do any of these then could you at least make this downloadable?

This game was so much fun. It was a great inspiration for a simple trading-style game I want to make.
